AI Disclosure

What every caller should know about talking to a Callenova agent.

Callers are speaking with an AI assistant

Calls handled by Callenova are answered or placed by an AI voice agent, not a human employee. We recommend, and in many jurisdictions the law requires, that the agent identify itself as a virtual assistant early in the conversation.

Recording and transcripts

Where enabled and permitted, calls are recorded and transcribed so your team can review what was said. Callers are informed according to the rules of their jurisdiction and can decline.

Human escalation

Any caller can ask to speak with a person. The agent transfers to your team or takes a message when no one is available, following the escalation rules you configure.

What the agent will not do

It does not provide medical, legal or financial advice, does not handle emergencies (callers are directed to emergency services), does not collect full payment-card details, and does not invent business facts outside your approved knowledge base.

Consent and opt-out

Outbound campaigns run only against contacts you confirm you are permitted to call. Opt-out requests are honored immediately and recorded.

Canada — AI calls, recording and CRTC rules

Canadian rules are not the same as US rules, and we do not reuse US consent logic for Canadian calls. Recording is one-party consent at the federal level in Canada, but our default for Canadian businesses is to announce recording and the fact that the caller is speaking with an AI assistant at the start of the call. Outbound calling to Canadian numbers is subject to CRTC rules on automated and unsolicited telecommunications, including the National DNCL, calling-hour limits, and identification requirements: the agent must identify the business it is calling for and provide a contact. Businesses are responsible for confirming they may call a given Canadian number.

Quebec callers

Quebec's Law 25 is stricter than the federal baseline, so for Quebec-based businesses and callers we recommend explicit, up-front consent to recording rather than relying on one-party consent. Callenova agents speak English only today. If the Charter of the French Language requires you to serve callers in French, we cannot meet that requirement yet — treat it as a stated limitation before you go live.

Canada is new for us

Canadian numbers, carrier forwarding and Canadian compliance copy launched recently. Please report anything that looks wrong; confirmed bug reports are rewarded with free call minutes.
